We live the destination Vinkovci - a destination platform for the cooperation of all local stakeholders

The tourist board of the city of Vinkovci realizes the project "We live the destination Vinkovci" as a model of a wider platform for the construction and development of a sustainable destination in accordance with contemporary tourist trends and the strategic guidelines of Croatian tourism.

In the area of ​​the city of Vinkovci, the dynamism of the destination tourist picture has been noted in the last few years, from the structure of accommodation capacities, the structure and number of realized tourist nights, and the development of a series of new contents and offers, both manifestations and offers of individual stakeholders in tourism. Everything together results in a development dynamic in which we want to include all relevant stakeholders, each in their own segment, and all linked together in the joint development of the destination, our city, for the benefit of the local population and all visitors. 

To this end, the Tourist Board of the town of Vinkovci is starting the project "We live the destination Vinkovci", a kind of destination platform for the cooperation of all local stakeholders.

Analyzing all the changes in the destination, private renters were singled out as the first target group, and the first activities within the project were aimed at private renters.

Goals of the project "Living the destination Vinkovci"

• establishment of a model of continuous and functional cooperation of the tourist community as an institution that manages the development of the destination and stakeholders who directly and actively participate in the creation and support of the development of the destination in their business
• involving private renters in the creation and monitoring of content and suggestions for visiting Vinkovci
• insight into the problems, plans, thoughts and expectations of private renters from the operation of their facilities, as well as their role in creating a destination and maintaining the destination's brand and image
• creating a motive for arriving at the destination with at least one overnight stay
• transfer of experiences of positive practice, but also by concretizing communication and open transfer of information key to the development of the destination, to create a long-term sustainable model of cooperation in managing the development and promotion of the destination and maintaining the strength of the tourist brand and identity.

To achieve the stated goals, the Tourist Board of the town of Vinkovci organizes three thematic educations intended for private renters as follows:

• November 20, 2023 from 16:30 to 20:00 - Experience of private renters in urban areas of continental Croatia
  Lecturers: mrs. Jasmina Krkić Poznić, owner of Maksimilian Private Accommodation in Osijek and Mr. Ivica Šandrk, owner of private apartments ORION – Sun and Cassiopeia in Vinkovci
• November 21, 2023 from 16:30 to 20:00 - Experience of an organized trip to the destination Vinkovci
  Lecturer: mrs Ines Milić, tourist agency Plautilla, Solin
• November 22, 2023 to 16:30 to 20:00 - Management of the destination by the local tourist board and cooperation with local stakeholders
  Lecturer: mrs Jelena Toth, director of the TZ of the city of Varaždin

All educations are held at the Entrepreneurial Incubator in Vinkovci, 16 Dragutina Žanića Karle Street.
