Almost HRK 15 million was approved for the projects of local tourist boards

Through the Fund for Underdeveloped Tourist Boards and the Fund for Associated Tourist Boards, a total of HRK 40 million was allocated specifically for the development of new products

Today it is in Imotski held 13st session of the Tourist Board of the Croatian National Tourist Board, which was led by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac in the presence of the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić. Before the start of the session, the gathered members of the Tourist Council were greeted by the Prefect of the Split-Dalmatia County Blaženko Boban and the mayor of Imotski Ivan Budalić. At the session, council members adopted, among other things reports on the operations of the Croatian Tourist Board in 2021, as well as Report of the director of the Croatian Tourist Board for the past year.

In addition to reports and amendments to key strategic documents, the members of the Tourism Council at the session in Imotski also adopted The decision on the selection of projects of local tourist boards in the touristic underdeveloped area and continent in 2022.

"Continuing to the allocation of funds from the Fund for Tourism Underdeveloped Areas and the Continent, 20 regional tourist boards announced public tenders for the allocation of funds, which received a total of 387 submitted projects from local tourist boards. After evaluating all the applications, it was proposed to allocate almost HRK 15 million for a total of 300 projects of local tourist boards, and this decision was adopted today by the Tourist Council. We will continue to support all projects that encourage the further development of tourism on the continent and underdeveloped areas, because in this way we positively influence year-round tourism, the strength of our country's tourism brand, as well as the quality of Croatia's overall tourist offer", he said director Staničić.

"Balanced tourism development is one of the strategic goals set in the Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy. Through the Fund for Underdeveloped Tourist Boards and the Fund for Associated Tourist Boards, a total of HRK 40 million was allocated precisely for the development of new products and projects and programs in underdeveloped tourist areas that will contribute to the achievement of the strategic goal. The Split-Dalmatia County from these two Funds was allocated more than HRK 2 million for projects that will increase the attractiveness of the area and thereby create new motives for tourists to come.", she ordered Minister Brnjac and added that TZP Imota recorded better results this year compared to the same period in 2019, which is the result of continuous work on improving the quality and visibility of the tourist offer.

The continuation of the cooperation is also planned as part of the marketing cooperation with Istria County Tourist Board on the strategic partnership project with FC Bayern Munich in the period 2022-2023, and funds were also approved for marketing cooperation and joint advertising with Hanjin Travel in 2022. It is a South Korean tour operator that is connected with Korean Air, and the planned cooperation refers to charter operations for Croatia.
