Lošinj has been attracting more and more visitors for years and is becoming a permanent destination for lovers of the archipelago. Dieter Schmid and his wife from Stuttgart have been loyal visitors to the island of Lošinj for 50 years. Dieter recalls his first arrival back in 1972 at the then Hotel Helios in Čikat, and says that neither war nor Covid prevented him from returning to his Kvarner island.

"I remember the first time we arrived, we waited for the ferry to Brestova for more than 7 hours, and I also remember the narrow road to Lošinj. Lošinj has progressed a lot since then, from the transport infrastructure to accommodation facilities.", says Dieter, and he also says that he values the "Lošinj crystal sea" and the promenade by the sea on the route Mali - Veli Lošinj the most.

He would like Lošinj to preserve its natural beauty, and he suggests that the catering offer could be improved in such a way as to bring back Lošinj's traditional dishes. In recent years, he has been staying with the landlord Željka Starčević.

Also, De Rossi Ferruccio and his wife De Zanetti Graziella have been coming for 40 years in a row, and they passed on their love for the island to their son, who continued to come with his family. Sometimes and several times a year, the De Rossi family stays on Lošinj, and they originally stayed at the Aurora Hotel. Since 1985, they have been guests of the Brčić family in Mali Lošinj. They like to walk the most seafront Lošinj, and the favorite bay is Portošešula. Now that they are older, as they say, they are staying at the Aurora Hotel again, and the children prefer private accommodation.

"I would like the airstrip in Mali Lošinj to be extended and a greater number of lines to Italy to be introduced, and the remains of military facilities on Velopin to be rehabilitated", says Ferruccio.

Ever since she was a child, with her parents, and now with her family, Petra Štirn Janota has been spending her summers in Mali Lošinj for 43 years. Katica Mužić is a regular guest. Also, the Fischer family has been staying with the landlord Milena Toić for 20 years. Herbert Meinzel and Sabine Martine Neinzel-Jorger from Germany started coming to Lošinj 43 years ago and still at the camp in Veli Lošinj. They have been guests of the Lulić family since 2017 and come twice a year.

"We have been running the loyalty program for long-term guests for a number of years. Our goal is to additionally thank the guests and their hosts for their loyalty and through talking with them to see what we can improve in order to make their stay, as well as that of all other guests, as high quality as possible. We can boast that more than 70% of guests come to the Lošinj archipelago three times or more", said the director of the Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj Dalibor Cvitkovic.

The Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj hereby invites all renters and tourism workers to let them know if they have long-term guests in the accommodation facilities, so that they can organize a reception at the Tourist Office and hand over a small sign of attention.
