The Croatian Tourist Board and the HTZ Representative Office in Italy presented the Croatian tourist offer to the Italian media and partners

Croatian tourist agency i Representation of HTZ in Italy last night they are in the center Rima organized a promotional event where they presented the Croatian tourist offer to the Italian media and partners, i.e Croatia has been highlighted as one of the most successful destinations in the Mediterranean, which will strive to continue this year's positive trends in the coming year as well.

They attended the meeting with the Italian media and partners Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board and Viviana Vukelic, director of the Representative Office HTZ in Italy, who on this occasion presented the tourism results of Croatia, while special emphasis was placed on future trends and the desired position of Croatia on the Italian market.

"The Italian market is traditionally among the top 10 markets from which we generate the largest tourist traffic, and this status has been successfully maintained during the last two years, which were very challenging for all of us. This confirms that Croatia is very well recognized on the Italian market as a quality tourist destination, and our goal is to be additionally recognized in the future as a sustainable destination of high value, i.e. as a destination with authentic and quality tourist experiences", said the director Stanicic, adding that next year Croatia will be even more competitive considering our country's entry into Schengen and the Eurozone.  

The presentation brought together 37 Italian media such as RAI, La Stampa, Il Messaggero, Mediaset, Gambero Rosso, Nautica, Plein Air and others, and the event was also attended by Jasen Mesic, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Italy, Silvana Napoletano, country manager of the airline company Vueling, Rosario Piscitelli, manager of the Italian shipping company SNAV and others.

"This year, we recorded a great interest of the younger population in traveling to Croatia, who were motivated to come by entertainment and festivals, while a special interest was expressed in Novalja. There is also a noticeable trend in the market for shorter trips with more arrivals during the year, all of which are more frequent trips in the pre- and post-season, regardless of their traditional Ferragosto. In the past period, we have carried out a significant number of promotional activities on the market, and the result is a positive media image and image of Croatia on the Italian market.", she stressed Vukelic.

I addressed the gathered Ivana Jelinić, president of the Italian Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Companies (FIAVET), which has about 1500 travel agencies and tour operators in its membership.

"This year's season in Croatia was very well prepared despite all the challenges and circumstances caused by the pandemic and the war events in Ukraine. I would like to congratulate the Croatian tourist community and the HTZ Representative Office in Italy on the numerous promotional activities that were carried out on the Italian market, especially in strong and active cooperation with agencies through participation in numerous workshops throughout Italy in the pre- and post-season. Fiavet is available for all forms of cooperation and will, as before, provide maximum support to Croatia.", she concluded Jelinic.

Let's add how it is from the Italian market, according to system data eVisitor, in Croatia during the first 10 months of this year more than 906 thousand arrivals i 4,1 million overnight stays. The above represents compared to last year growth of 114% in arrivals and 87% in overnight stays, while compared to the same period in 2019, the above represents about 76% of the results. At the same time, Italians made the most arrivals and overnight stays in Istria, Kvarner and Split-Dalmatia County, and in terms of destinations in Rovinj, Medulin, Novalja, Poreč and Mali Lošinj.
