Zagreb took third place as the best capital for tourists

According to data from the Zagreb Tourist Board (TZGZ), 144.910 arrivals and 265.113 overnight stays were realized in the Croatian capital in July, which represents an increase of 12% in arrivals and 7% in overnight stays, compared to the same period last year.

In July, in addition to local guests, guests from the USA spent the most overnight stays, followed by guests from Germany, Great Britain, France and Italy. In arrivals, among foreign guests, the first five places are guests from Germany, the USA, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands.

"The tourism results in Zagreb are great not only for July, but also for the first 7 months of this year in total. Namely, from January until now, 25% more arrivals (678.857) and 17% more overnight stays (1.364.491) have been achieved in our city compared to last year. The fact that guests from the USA are the first in terms of recorded results is especially pleasing, which is also the effect of our promotional activities on the American market, especially the cooperation with the USTOA, the Virtuoso association and the Smithsonian platform." said the director of TZGZ, Martina Bienenfeld.

In addition, a survey by the VisaGudie.World portal was published, according to which Zagreb took third place as the best capital for tourists according to parameters of security, knowledge of the English language, prices, etc. 

Such news, along with the results so far, really inspire optimism, and we expect a further positive continuation of tourism results in the capital of Croatia."
