Online applications for the Annual Croatian Tourism Awards 2023 are open.

Croatian tourist agency has opened online applications for Annual Croatian Tourist Awards, which this year will be awarded according to a new concept, i.e. according to new categories. 

The annual Croatian tourism awards are open to all stakeholders in Croatian tourism and represent an opportunity to present excellence and examples of best practices, their promotion and public recognition. 

Awards are awarded together Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Croatian Tourist Board and Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and the awarding place will be this year's Days of Croatian Tourism.

"Croatia is today a world-famous tourist destination in the Mediterranean, and behind this success are numerous tourism workers, individuals, and tourism companies. With this reward system, we want to highlight excellent examples in practice, but also encourage further excellence and creativity in Croatian tourism. I invite all colleagues to single out individuals and subjects in their environment through applications who, with their work, enthusiasm, projects and ideas, have contributed to the development of Croatian tourism, that is, to the positioning of our country as an attractive and meaningful tourist destination full of friendly hosts" he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the CNTB.

From this year, a new concept and new categories

Prizes will be awarded in 15 categories, i.e. for tourist event of the year, tourist arrangement of the year, gastronomic experience of the year, hotels i camp of the year, and prizes will be awarded in active, cultural, nautical, business, rural te health tourism, as well as prizes for Only accommodation of the year and tourist destination of the year (Champion of Croatian tourism). 

"With the annual Croatian tourism awards, we want to recognize all tourism workers, but also all those who, with their work, hospitality and innovation, contribute to making Croatia one of the most desirable tourist destinations today. We focused the development of Croatian tourism on encouraging year-round and regionally balanced tourism in order to make our tourism even more resilient and competitive. Through these awards, we recognize and reward companies, associations, people and local communities that improve Croatian tourism in the context of sustainable development and responsible use of resources. I invite all those interested to apply and nominate  all those who consider themselves responsible for the success of Croatian tourism, so that this year we will reward the best of the best that Croatian tourism has to offer", she stated Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports.  

"Tourism as a vital sector of our economy generates thousands of jobs and creates a significant share of Croatia's GDP. The dedication, expertise and innovation of entrepreneurs and workers in tourism is what makes tourism successful, which is why it is important that excellence is recognized and rewarded. The Tourist Flower - Quality for Croatia is an award that HGK has been awarding to entrepreneurs, as the backbone of tourism, for 25 years. The awardees have always been the best in tourism, and although this award will no longer exist, we will continue to recognize excellence - now through the joint Annual Croatian Tourism Awards. Supporting excellence motivates continuous ascent to a higher level of quality and innovation. We are looking forward to the new application method and evaluation system that will contribute to the promotion of the best practices in tourism, lead to a higher overall quality of the sector and a better reputation of Croatia as a tourist destination", he said Luka Burilović, president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. 

Let's add that applications are also received for the award People in tourism, as part of which the Croatian Tourist Award is awarded as an annual award "Anton Štifanić" i Lifetime Achievement Award and reward "Man - the key to success, employee of the year".

The deadline for submitting candidacies for all award categories is August 31, 2023. through online application forms available at official site HTZ.
