Twice a week, Zadar is connected to Munich by direct flight

Croatia Airlines plans to increase the number of flights by 12 percent in the winter flight schedule

The introduction of regular international flights of Croatia Airlines on the new Zadar-Munich winter route was officially celebrated at Zadar Airport on Tuesday. 

On that occasion, the first passengers on the flight from Munich to Zadar were welcomed, and then the passengers on the first flight from Zadar to Munich were also seen off. On the occasion of the introduction of the new line, all passengers on flights on October 31 (OU4674 Munich – Zadar and OU4675 Zadar – Munich) were rewarded voucher in the amount of 20 euros, which can be used when purchasing a plane ticket for the next trip with Croatia Airlines.

Marija Pavić, sales manager of Croatia Airlines, pointed out at today's ceremony that they are glad that in cooperation with the Tourist Board of Zadar County, the Tourist Board of the City of Zadar and Zadar Airport, we have established a new line and thus offered passengers from this region a direct air connection with Europe during the winter period. "I believe that passengers will take advantage of the new travel opportunities, and also that this joint product will contribute to the development of the tourism potential of Zadar County and the even more successful business of Zadar Airport." Pavić added.      

"Expanding the network of destinations in the winter flight schedule is the strategic goal of Zadar Airport. We are extremely glad that our domestic airline Croatia Airlines and the County Tourist Board are helping us in this direction. We hope that the introduction of the Zadar - Munich line in the winter flight schedule just the beginning in achieving that goal." pointed out Josip Klišmanić, director of Zadar Airport.

By mid-January 2024, the planes of the national airline will connect Zadar and Munich twice a week - on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The flights will be operated by Dash 8-Q400 aircraft with a capacity of 76 seats, and passengers can buy return air tickets at the price of 162 euros on the Croatia Airlines website.

"I express great satisfaction and most heartily welcome the introduction of the winter international air line Zadar - Munich, with the wish that it will grow into a year-round one already in the next season. The Zadar County Tourist Board is persistently working to attract tourists outside the months of the strongest tourist movements, and this is an important step towards further to the development of year-round tourism. The introduction of this line represents a great incentive and an important factor in the even more significant growth of business travel, the so-called MICE segment in which Zadar County is building an ever-increasing perspective, especially with announcements of the opening of significant hotel capacities and the construction of congress facilities." she said Mihaela Kadi, director of the Tourist Board of Zadar County.

Let's also note that Croatia Airlines in the winter flight schedule of 2023/2024. plans to increase the total number of flights by 12 percent and offer 13,6 percent more seats compared to the winter period of 2022/2023. In doing so, the company's aircraft will directly connect Croatia and 13 international destinations with a total of 19 international routes.
