Croatia in Bratislava is presented as one of the most sought after destinations in the Mediterranean

Croatian tourist agency i Representation of the Croatian National Tourist Board in the Czech Republic, which covers and Slovakia, in the center Bratislava organized the presentation of the Croatian tourist offer for the most influential Slovak media and a meeting with the most important partners, tour operators and agencies from this very important market for Croatian tourism. The event was attended, among others, by the director of the CNTB Kristjan Staničić, director of the representative office Dubravko Miholić, as well as the executive director of the Association of Unique Croatian Hotels STORIES Antonija Urlić.

During the press conference, which was attended 27 Slovak journalists and representatives of the most popular media, director Stanicic presented the overall tourism results of Croatia with reference to the results achieved in the Slovak market, while special emphasis was placed on future trends and the position that Croatia wants to occupy in the Slovak market.

"Slovakia is one of our top 10 emitting markets with the highest tourist traffic, and as the main summer part of the season is ahead of us, we wanted to position Croatia as one of the most sought after and most successful tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. and talks with the most important partners about expanding the existing cooperation in order to achieve the best possible results this year as well. in our overall results ", he said director Stanicic, adding that long-term goals in this market include the growth of tourist arrivals during shorter weekend trips and in the pre- and post-season periods, but also attracting more guests of different age groups with special emphasis on young people.  

After the press conference, the director Stanicic held a presentation for 15 subjects i partner from the Slovak tourism sector, among which are the largest tour operators and agencies such as SATUR, Globtour, Aquamarin, TIP travel etc., and she did the same Antonija Urlić on behalf of the Association of Unique Croatian Hotels STORIES, which, as she said, are primarily intended for consumers who appreciate special, unique experiences and who are looking for high quality service.

"We have to be more than satisfied with the trends and results achieved on the Slovak market so far this year. Namely, the structure of Slovak guests coming to Croatian destinations is slowly changing, so we have more and more people looking for quality service willing to pay. and indicators of tourist traffic according to which Slovaks have achieved about 32% more overnight stays so far than in the same period of record 2019. By the end of the year we want to maintain this level of tourist traffic, ie we want to exceed the pre-pandemic result because it will mean a full recovery Croatia on the important Slovak market ", he concluded Dubravko Miholić, adding that Slovaks have spent the most nights so far in Zagreb, Zadar, Porec and Rovinj.

Let us add that at the very beginning of the program, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Slovak Republic greeted all those gathered Alexander Heina, while he also attended the meeting with Slovak partners Darius Krajčir, Mayor of Devinska Nova Ves, which is part of the city of Bratislava and which will be held on 18 and 19 June 33rd Festival of Croatian Culture. We remind you that in this municipality there is a Museum of Croatian Culture, but also Vukovarska Street, which makes Bratislava the only capital of an EU member state in which one street is named after the Croatian city of the hero of Vukovar.
