Past, extremely challenging years for the tourism industry, employees Tourist Board Bol they used their creativity, enthusiasm, dedicated work, activities and campaigns to promote a destination that is recognizable in the world. 

Fascinating Bol has been recording its tourist successes since 1964, and its successes have only continued - in the last thirty years Bol has shown enviable tourist results by winning numerous awards and recognitions, such as the Golden Sun, Tourist Flower, Big Golden Sun, Blue Flower, Sunflower and others.

Precisely because of its excellence, Bol did not give up even in the times of the pandemic, but in 2020 they decided to offer the world something completely authentic and worthy of praise. The goal was to arouse the enthusiasm of the local population and involve them in the promotion of Bol, so they launched a film project 'Our pain stories' which focused the locals and their life stories.

The locals conveyed their emotion to the world, and for that they received great accolades. Already in 2020, the Tourist Board of Bol won the award Golden Interstas Award for his notable contribution to the overall tourism of Brač and the Split-Dalmatia County, as well as recognition at the 23rd International Tourfilm Festival in Solin. Movie  'Our pain stories, Windsurf' he also won third place in the City na category 21. Golden City Gate 2021., an international tourist film festival held as part of the tourist fair ITB Berlin. This year, the Tourist Board of Bol won another international award for tourist film 'Bol & Culture', who connected three attractive stories about the Dragon's Cave, the Dominican Monastery and the Branislav Dešković Gallery and won an award for it Golden Bear in the 'Art & Culture' category.

The director of TZ Bol, Markito Marinković, is the winner of last year's award Interstas for excellence in the realization and presentation of the tourist excellence of Bol. The Tourist Board, led by the award-winning director, continues to develop campaigns, carry out activities aimed at promoting Bol and encouraging trends that serve as an example to other places. 

"In the last thirty years, Bol has shown enviable tourist results by winning numerous awards and recognitions, such as the Golden Sun, Tourist Flower, Big Golden Sun, Blue Flower, Sun Flower and others. I am extremely proud to have the opportunity to create this together with other employees of TZ Bol the magnificent story of our place " Director Marinković points out and adds that Bol did not surrender even during the pandemic.

In addition to the local population, they are also collaborating with cellist Ana Rucner. ‘The Rhapsody of Bol with Ana Rucner’ also started back in 2020. Zlatni rat beach is in itself a bait for recording videos - it is a symbol of Bol and the island of Brač, but also of Croatia. We built our entire verbal-visual identity on Zlatni rat beach as a symbol of the Adriatic, and destination audio branding is just an upgrade in that sense. At the time of the crown, we started collaborating with our famous cellist Ana Rucner, who considers Brač her second home and has been coming to us since early childhood. At that time, we recorded 7 short musical stories with her - 'Bol's Rhapsody', from which the Adio Lito concert originated, and all this left a significant mark in the promotion of our place. ", he explained Marinkovic

Experts have also noticed the quality work, branding and promotion of Bol as a destination. 

The Bol Tourist Board has been diligently developing its story for years, he said Domagoj Bebić, associate professor at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb and head of the Department of Strategic Communication, adds that they are committed to their work and their goal is to present the place in the best possible way. "In addition to keeping up with world trends, they also create their own trends that other tourist boards will surely follow. Using creative campaigns, films and music, Bol offers visitors a complete experience that they will want to repeat. " explains Bebić.

As for the new season, the forecasts are very good. There are currently 1300 guests in Bol, and the results are close to those from 2019. They are predicting a great season at TZ Bol.

"This year's promotions of TZ Bol on social networks targeted car markets, such as Bavaria in Germany, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia. The emphasis of the campaign was outdoor activities, cycling, hiking, windsurfing and kitesurfing. I want to thank all our locals, tourism workers, regular and new guests who give Bol a special note. Together we can make Croatia a leader in tourism ", says the director of the Tourist Board of Bol, Markito Marinković, concluding that in this period they have the most guests from Germany and Austria.
