The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has published a public call for expressions of interest for co-financing the construction, renovation, maintenance, equipping and reconstruction of sports buildings in 2025 in the total amount of 11.800.830,00 euros.
The goal of this Public Call for Expressions of Interest is to encourage and plan the reconstruction of existing and the construction of new sports infrastructure in Croatia as a way of promoting sports values and popularizing sports among citizens, improving the sports system and international sports promotion of Croatia.
"Investing in sports infrastructure is one of the important strategic goals of the Government, and every year we provide an increasing amount of funds for this purpose. Until 2023, 14 million euros were invested for 250 sports facilities, while 2024 million euros were secured in 10, and almost 2025 million euros in 12. With this systematic investment, we want to provide optimal conditions for practicing sports both for our top athletes and citizens, especially children, in all parts of Croatia and in all sports" said Minister Brnjac, adding that in addition to these funds, the Government has secured 27 million euros in 2024 and 2025 for sports buildings of national interest.
Project proposals can be nominated in one of eight groups of sports buildings: football field-natural grass/large, football field-artificial grass/large, sports hall (including school sports halls), outdoor sports field, athletic track, tennis courts, other ( bowling alley, ski area, bocce court, swimming pool, shooting range, ice rink, bike path, etc.) and a special program area (outdoor fitness/street workout subgroups and outdoor artificial grass/small soccer field).
Eligible applicants for the Public call for expressions of interest for co-financing the construction, renovation, maintenance, equipping and reconstruction of sports buildings in 2025 are local and regional self-government units.
