New tourist product of active tourism on the island of Lošinj: HIKE & BIKE Lošinj

How to extend the tourist season? the answer to the eternal question is simple - content, quality content. It was with this goal in mind, as well as the development of the overall offer on Mali Lošinj, that they created a new tourist product based on cyclotourism, mountaineers and hiking tours. 

A total of 16 bicycle and 18 pedestrian paths and routes were created and marked in the project of the Tourist Board of the City of Mali Lošinj outdoors – HIKE & BIKE Lošinj.

Paths and routes in the area of ​​the Town of Mali Lošinj were created and traced for the purpose of digitization and publication of a new view on the official website of the TZG Mali Lošinj, in cooperation with Bojan Šenkinec (PROMOTIV) and Elvir Sulic (NATURA). Thanks to GPS markers and location maps with detailed descriptions and photos, nature and adventure lovers will be able to enjoy numerous routes and hitherto undiscovered paths of Lošinj and its smaller islands.

Explore the Lošinj archipelago through active tourism 

By walking along attractive roads or cycling along various paths of varying length and difficulty, visitors can reach the most beautiful viewpoints and peaks, hidden beaches and bays, picturesque fishing villages, lonely chapels and hamlets, shepherds' dwellings and old military fortifications.

CHOOSE ONE OF THE MANAGED AND MARKED HIKING OR CYCLING TRAILS

Intended for different categories, from family to more demanding ones...the trails invite visitors to visit the nearby islands as well. Ilovik, Susak and Unije, each of which evokes numerous interesting stories and its own long tradition and history. 

Along the path of the Belejski shepherds or the path of St. Gaudencija in Osor.

At the crossroads of roads in Punta Križa, which connect the former shepherd's hamlets, the Shepherd's Dwelling Trail begins. A visit to the island of olives and aromatic and medicinal plants, where the Unijski polje Trail is located, will take you back to some bygone times. Lošinj forest therapy in Veli Lošinj will bring you closer to nature, and you can also explore the closest island to the Lošinj archipelago - Ilovik - by bike or on foot. 

You can also visit the first mountain he climbed Rudolf Hapsburg, at the same time the highest mountain of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago. We are talking about Osoršćica, but these are just some of the many trails that are waiting to be discovered.
