This year it will Croatian Tourism Days (DHT) u Rovinj On November 9 and 10, gather the most important representatives of the domestic and foreign tourism industry, who will summarize this year's tourism year, find out how digital technologies strengthen the tourism sector and whether ecotourism is reality or a fantasy, and where we will travel in 50 years and which countries we will omit from our wish lists. It is a central tourist event that they organize together Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Croatian Tourist Board i Croatian Chamber of Economy and at which more than 1000 participants from the tourism, catering, media and other tourism-related sectors are expected.
On the panel Croatian National Tourist Board called "Journey to sustainability – destination experiences!", director of the HTZ Representative Office in Italy Viviana Vukelic, director of the HTZ Representative Office in France Danijela Mihalić Đurica, director Tourist boards of the Split-Dalmatia County Ivana Vladović and the director of the Tourist Board of Međimurje County Rudi Grula, will answer how best to preserve the resources that enrich the most visited destinations, whether today's young travelers are too demanding or realistic in their wishes, how to win the fight against mass tourism and the devastation of cultural heritage, which is important to the French and Italians when traveling on vacation and what a place must possess in order to have green status.
Can artificial intelligence replace human skills and abilities and how a modern software system is connected with the character of people and tourism, will be revealed by the founder of the company Apsolon and co-founder and partner in the consulting firm Best Advisory Vedran Antoljak and a licensed lecturer in the field of sales and communications Davor Bilman in discussion "AI with personality" of which he is the bearer Croatian Chamber of Economy.
Ministry of Tourism and Sports organizes a 1 on 1 conversation called "The era of sustainability of Croatian tourism". Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac will explain why it is necessary to direct the development of tourism towards sustainability, what the Government of the Republic of Croatia has done so far in this regard, and how the reform of tourism development management will contribute to concrete improvements in that sector. Besides her, the mayor of Dubrovnik Mato Franković, the mayor of Rovinj Marco Paliaga and the mayor of Šibenik Željko Burić will talk based on their own experiences about whether our domestic destinations have started to manage tourism in a sustainable way and what is needed to remain desirable and competitive in the future.
