PLACE2GO: Accreditation for business days in tourism has begun

Accreditation for business days has begun 11th international tourism fair PLACE2GO, which will be held from January 18 to 20, 2024. in Arena Zagreb.

During the first two days of the fair, business visitors will be able to present their business, arrange business meetings and attend panels of the business program, which this year also includes current events in tourism such as the Croatian tourist card, dog friendly hotels, hotels suitable for people with disabilities and sports tourism.

This is a great opportunity to meet other colleagues who perform tourism activities, but also an opportunity to hold business meetings" she said Damjana Domanovac, director of the PLACE2GO fair.

Entry to the fair is free, but accreditation through the fair is required PLACE2GO applications available on Apple Store and Play Store. As part of the application, in addition to the code for entry to the fair, it is possible to get all the information about the program, as well as arrange business meetings.

Different tourists as the future? 

In the new edition, the B2B segment of the program includes expert lectures and panels, which is also a great opportunity for networking with all companies that directly and indirectly perform tourism activities. On the first day, the panel will discuss: Croatia as a destination of excellence, readiness for luxury tourism and attracting increasingly demanding guests, employment in tourism, the Croatian tourist card, the lack of tourist staff that all Mediterranean tourist destinations face, and the apartment development of the Croatian coast. 

On the second day of the PLACE2GO fair, attractive topics such as: green travel,  traveling with pets, affordable tourism. Also, Vlado Šestan will talk about safaris and motoring TV presenter Aleksandar Stanković travels. Hrvoje Jurić will introduce us to all the tricks of good photography.

It will be held for the first time as part of the fair Travel Market with the participation of the largest Croatian travel agencies Globtour Event, Mondo travel, Palma travel and Obzor travel, as well as agencies specializing in Allegra cruises and the shipping company MSC, where visitors will be able to pay for their next trip with appropriate discounts.

In addition, 17 Croatian national parks and nature parks will be presented together at a unique stand, and special emphasis will be placed on the possibilities and offer of domestic tourism with the Croatian tourist card. Also, Turkish Airlines will present itself as a long-standing general sponsor of the fair.

Exotic exhibitors from Sri Lanka, China, India and Tunisia

Exhibitors from China, Sri Lanka, Spain and Lithuania are coming to Zagreb for the first time this year, and Tunisia and India are returning. There will also be numerous exhibitors from neighboring countries: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, as well as a large number of Croatian exhibitors.

The third day is open to the general public, and they will share their travel experiences Traveloholics, Ribafish and Kasandra, Sarah & Darjan, Jurica Galić Juka, Saša Pjanić i Cruises, and will open topics about India, Sri Lanka, Montenegro, Raja Ampat and the land of cannibals - Papua New Guinea. He will have a final lecture Martina Validžić, which will reveal which happy cities they are.

The PLACE2GO international fair has been held for eleven years. So far, 720 exhibitors from 39 participating countries have participated in the fair, representing various sectors of tourism, from travel agencies, tourist boards, rent-a-car companies, cruise companies, hotels, motels, camps, to amusement and adrenaline parks and charter companies. The fair continues to contribute to the growth of the tourism industry and strengthen Croatia's position as a desirable tourist destination.
