Promotion of Croatian destinations through virtual walks: published more than 60 virtual walks

One of the most popular and visited websites in Croatia is the tourist information portal of the Croatian Tourist Board Croatia.hr, which is now even more modern and richer in content after the redesign. It is the main digital platform of our tourism. 

They are now published on the portal 63 virtual walks in technology VR 360 available at four languages, i.e. in Croatian, English, German and Italian. It is a platform that enables users to view and interact in a 360-degree environment, that is, to explore destinations, surrounding places and localities in a high-quality virtual experience.

Systems of this type and their use in promotion enable users to experience destinations through a completely new process and experience. Namely, the research of destinations has been made easier for users in a creative way, and the way of informing about them has gained a new meaning and dimension with this technology.

Digitization of Croatian tourism, along with sustainability, represents one of the key strategic directions of its further development, so we will additionally upgrade this VR platform in the future with new technological solutions, as well as materials for new destinations and language variants., he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the CNTB.

The application was created as part of the Croatian digital tourism - e-Tourism project, six tourism products are presented as part of it, while a special focus is placed on three phases of travel: planning, experience and content sharing. 

We remind you that HTZ recently published the Explore Croatia mobile application, which provides users with personalized content according to their interests and current location. The application also offers features such as travel planning, creating and sharing digital postcards, and various games and quizzes to learn interesting facts about Croatia and its destinations.
