The Croatian Tourist Board adopted at the session of the tourist council The decision on the grant of grants for the projects of the united tourist boards. On the basis of the aforementioned Decision, the projects were reported to the Tourist Board of Central Istria awarded a total of HRK 582.524,40.
The Tourist Board of Central Istria applied for the Public Tender, which closed on February 28, 2022. five projects and all five were approved for financing. The highest amount of funding was allocated to the project Digital nomads – Lives and works in central Istria (182.000,00 kn), followed by the project Discover central Istria (137.322,40 kn), Development of the offer of active tourism in central Istria - Marking of pedestrian and bicycle paths (117.827,50 kn), Design and development of a digital platform - the website of TZP Central Istria (HRK 75.374,50) i Management strategy for visitor centers in central Istria (HRK 70.000,00).
The financial support of the Croatian Tourist Board is extremely important for the further strengthening of the tourist season and the further development of the municipalities within the Tourist Board of Central Istria, and HTZ also supports formally associated tourist boards, in this case the first of its kind established in Croatia and still the only one in Istria. Through the implementation of co-financed projects, the area of the Tourist Board of Central Istria, that is, the 9 LGUs it covers, will receive three new pedestrian and one bicycle paths. Also, TZSI will soon have a new, modernized and improved web interface, and for a few municipalities in its composition (Gračišće Municipality, Lupoglav Municipality, Sveti Petar u Šumi Municipality and Tinjan Municipality) they will draw up a management strategy for visitor centers in order to ensure their self-sustainability.
