Fifth, jubilee edition Life on Mars trail on the island of Pag starting in Metajna, a picturesque place 12 km away from Novalja is scheduled for 26. March 2022. years.
This attractive and unique trail race is held on a track rated by runners with five stars and is one of the most visited in Croatia. Exclusive, glamorous and admirable, the trail stretches through a landscape irresistibly reminiscent of Mars! Why and how, you can soon check for yourself with a timeless hit by David Bowie!
The Life on Mars trail is held in three categories - the most demanding CHALLENGER in the length of 24 kilometers according to the trail concept, which means that the trail is marked by hiking and trail paths. Since the Challenger category passes through the sea, for those who are not for winter swimming of some 50 m, they will be able to return to KT Malin (water source on the beach) the same way back, but in this way will not compete in the top 30 runners.
The second category ACTIVE the 15-kilometer trail is also a trail concept. The trail is marked and runs on hiking and trail routes and does not pass through the sea. And last but not least is the category LIGHT in the length of 7 kilometers which also passes marked hiking and trail paths.
Given the great interest in participating in the race "Life on Mars" (currently over 940 runners) the application can be made no later than Sunday, March 20.03.2022, XNUMX.

Pag is an island of diversity quite different from the many other islands of our coast. There are so many tourist stories connected to it that it is difficult to count them, and Pag is increasingly connecting its offer with outdoor and adventure activities. Whether you want to climb the 32-meter-high bare rock therefore follow the direction of the famous name Spyder or Scorpion, run the Life on Mars trail, walk to a phenomenon called the Pag Triangle, kayak the sea, bike or cross the demanding Via Ferrata - all this is possible on Pag.
The outdoor offer of Pag has continuously grown into a successful project that has become the guiding thread of the development path of the 'moon island'. It all started with the idea of several enthusiasts who launched this project in 2019 with the aim of uniform development of the island's outdoor offer. The project is the result of joint efforts of as many as five tourist boards - TZG Novalja, TZG Pag, TZO Kolan, TZO Povljana and TZM Stara Novalja - and is also supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia. The realization of the project overcame the administrative borders, uniting two cities, two municipalities, but also two counties.
This extraordinary Pag story about the development of the island's tourist offer got another sequel last year, when the entire Pag outdoor project went further and was raised to a much higher level by excellent branding of the entire active story of the island. New Pag Outdoor website www.pag-outdoor.com unites the entire outdoor offer of the island in one place. Through interactive content, it is possible to find out all the information about the outdoor offer of the island, accommodation facilities, current events and a range of services related to outdoor sports activities.
Outdoor island of Pag connects 4 most attractive outdoor activities - bike, trail, climbing and kayaking - but since it positions them in an absolutely unique environment of Pag nature, they become one of the development moments where tourism on this island will develop in several directions.
This concept will extend the calendar season to at least eight months and at the same time give additional impulses to the development of a number of activities on the island, especially those related to hospitality, gastronomy and specific agriculture.
For the inventive and creative design of content intended for active holidays that make a significant contribution to the quality and uniqueness of the year-round tourist offer of the island of Pag, the Pag Outdoor Project was awarded by the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies SIMPLY THE BEST in the category "New projects in tourism".
