The record-breaking Novigrad Cittanova RUN gathered more than 650 runners at the winter edition

Novigrad was once again in the center of events thanks to the sixth edition of the race Novigrad - Cittanova RUN, which was organized by Aminessa and the tourist agency GoAdria with the support of the Tourist Board of the City of Novigrad. More than 650 runners took part in the race, which was organized this year in the new winter term, which is also a record for the number of competitors - proof that the race is becoming a regular stage for all running fans, but also an additional reason to come to Novigrad outside the tourist season.

The competition was organized in four running disciplines, and it was opened by the youngest participants in the 'FUN RUN' race. In the women's competition in the half marathon, the first place went to them Marina Juranić (HR). She won the 10 kilometer race Breda Škedelj (SLO), while Lara Rajterič (SLO) celebrated at 5 kilometers. He was the winner in the men's competition in the half marathon Mihael Marinč (SLO). He achieved the best time on 10 kilometers Tomaž Rep (SLO), and in the 5 kilometers he won the first place Tina Lavrenčič (SLO).

The participants of this year's edition of the race came from a total of 11 different countries, and the largest number of competitors, 410 to be exact, he arrived from neighboring Slovenia! According to the categories, there were 339 male competitors, while there were a total of 318 female competitors in the female category.

"The new date of the race was certainly challenging, but the record attendance as well as the sunny Sunday are proof that more serious runners as well as recreational ones are constantly looking for new reasons to spend the weekend in the name of sports and rest even outside the tourist season, which further motivates us to continue with the project. Also, we would like to thank all the participants for coming and invite them to join us next year, as many as possible. they stated with satisfaction Nataša Host from the travel agency GoAdria i Nenad Popovic from Aminess, the organizers of this successful and attractive race that passes through Novigrad's colorful streets and promenades along the sea and olive groves.

The winners in the men's and women's categories in all running disciplines won valuable prizes again this year, which we believe will soon bring them back to sunny Novigrad - for vacation or for the new edition of the Novigrad Cittanova RUN race.
