The Tourist Council approved funds for projects of regional, local and united tourist boards

It was held today 26st session of the Tourist Board of the Croatian National Tourist Board, at which the council members, among other things, adopted The decision on the selection of projects of regional tourist boards in the touristic underdeveloped area and continent in 2023, and the decisions on the selection of projects of the associated tourist boards te selection projects of local tourist boards in tourism-insufficiently developed areas and on the continent. The session was chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac in the presence of the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić.

This is the case as part of the selection of projects of regional tourist boards in tourism-underdeveloped areas and the continent as a whole almost 2,9 million euros were approved for 59 projects. The same amount was approved for 275 projects of local tourist boards in tourism-underdeveloped areas and on the continent, while as part of the selection of projects of the associated tourist boards, over 2,5 million euros for the total 140 projects.

"Continuous development of the overall Croatian tourist offer with a special emphasis on the areas of joint tourist boards, i.e. tourist boards in underdeveloped areas and on the continent, is our strategic and long-term goal. This is the only way we can systematically work on further strengthening the perception of Croatia as a sustainable, year-round and high-quality tourist destination rich and varied offers, i.e. on creating an offer that will increasingly attract guests to our country during the period before and after the season. united tourist boards", concluded the director Stanicic.

///Funds for touristic underdeveloped areas

"The development of year-round and regionally balanced tourism is our main strategic goal, because it is a prerequisite for the sustainability and competitiveness of Croatian tourism in the future. That is why every year we continuously increase funds for the associated tourist boards, as well as for the development of touristic underdeveloped areas and continents in which lies an exceptional potential and we are happy that we have a large number of excellent projects, which will contribute to the stronger development of destinations. extremely glad that they will be our partners in even better positioning of Croatia as a desirable tourist destination", she said Minister Brnjac.

In addition to the aforementioned decisions, it was adopted and mentioned at the session Decision on the approval of funds for the implementation of marketing cooperation with top Croatian athletes in 2023, and according to which the total was approved 164 thousand euros for marketing and PR cooperation with 16 Croatian athletes among whom are, for example, Donna Vekić, Sandra Perković, Barbara Matić, the Sinković brothers, the Fantela brothers, Matea Jelić, Ivica Kostelić and others.

Let's also add that the following day will also be held 5th session of the HTZ Assembly where the members of the assembly will, among other things, discuss the adoption of the final proposal of the new Strategic marketing and operational plan of Croatian tourism, which was previously adopted by the HTZ Tourist Council at its earlier meetings.
