The conference #TURIZAM 2030 - "The future is now" that will be held on Wednesday, October 25 in the Gozdenica Cultural Center in Novalja, the City of Novalja and the Tourist Board of the City of Novalja, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds, Lika-Senj County and the Croatian Tourist Board, are celebrating the 70th anniversary of organized tourism in one of the most beautiful Adriatic island cities .
The program starts on Tuesday, October 24 with the exhibition "We and our guests", which will be held in the Museum of the City of Novalja, along with a klapa song and a gastronomic presentation "Novaljska tavula".
The conference, which is scheduled for a day later, will host numerous experts, entrepreneurs, political officials and representatives of educational institutions and local governments, and will include numerous lectures and discussions on the topic of sustainable tourism and the island's green and digital transition.
The aim of the conference is to recognize the opportunities brought by the green and digital future and, while preserving existing resources and traditions, step together towards a sustainable transformation of tourism.
The opening lecture will be given by the Mayor of the City of Novalja, Ivan Dabo, while the list of speakers is impressive: the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac, Prefect of the Lika-Senj County Ernest Petry, Member of the European Parliament Sunčana Glavak, as well as the Vice-President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography Dubravko Šuica and representatives of the Croatian Tourist Board. At the end, the closing speech will go to the prefect of Lika-Senj, Ernest Petry.
Let's also point out that on October 25th, the ceremony of awarding the "Cvet arburoža" award, which will be awarded to companies, organizations and individuals for the greatest achievements in tourism in the city of Novalja, is on the program. This festive event is scheduled for 18.00:20.00 p.m. in the Gozdenica Cultural Center, while Petar Dragojević will perform at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. on the Basilica Square.
This anniversary is not only a celebration of the past, but also a step towards a common future. Sustainability, innovation and digital transformation of tourism will be discussed through two panels.
