From May 02 to May 31, Zagreb International Airport will be closed to all traffic from 23 p.m. to 06:30 a.m. due to work on the runway.
According to the portal Croatian Aviation, because of this, many carriers have previously corrected their flight schedule, such as German Lufthansa and Dutch KLM, as well as Irish Ryanair, which started operational changes.
Due to the announced works, Ryanair canceled 55 rotations on 9 international routes from or to its Zagreb base.
"The carrier still did not react and made changes to two lines, from Sofia and Malaga, which land in Zagreb after 23 p.m., which will not be possible in May, so it is to be expected that there will be flight cancellations or changes on these lines as well. in the flight line so that the planes in Zagreb land before the start of the works, that is, before 23 p.m." they state from the Crotian Aviation portal.
The cancellation of as many as 55 rotations, or a total of 110 flights, will result in 20 fewer seats for Zagreb airport in May, which will be reflected in the statistics themselves at the end of the month.
