In Baška, the 16th traditional conference "Baska GNSS Conference" and the 3rd workshop on smart, blue and green marine technologies, which is officially hosted by the Corinthia Baška Sunny hotel from the Valamar Group.

GNSS technology has redefined the way of navigation and travel, making it safer, faster and more efficient. By using smart, blue and green marine technologies, we have the opportunity to create a more sustainable and responsible future for our planet.

Baška is the host for the 16th time such an important event which brings together experts and researchers from all over the world to share their knowledge and ideas. For the past 15 years, this event has been a platform for sharing experiences, presenting new discoveries and innovations, and discussing future trends in the field of navigation and maritime technologies. Baška is an ideal location for this conference, since it has a strong connection with the sea, and all activities related to the sea.

"We are delighted by the fact that Baška has been recognized this year by world experts in the field of satellite navigation as an ideal place for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and the fact that this area is under the influence of very little electromagnetic pollution, which has become a rarity in modern times, also contributed to this. the world of technology. The identity of Baška is largely defined by its maritime tradition, and the ability to adapt and apply new technologies is always important, especially in today's challenging times that we are all witnessing. These challenges often help us to progress, so it is of great importance that together let's continue to support such efforts of experts and scientists in the research and development of modern technologies", said the director of the Baška Municipality Tourist Board, Ivana Topić.

After all the problems related to the coronavirus pandemic until recently, this year the conference finally returned in full live and without the hitherto characteristic online activities. In this way, the conference in Baška once again brings together leading scientists and experts from the field of satellite navigation, as well as numerous related areas of marine technology.

This year, the conference consists of three segments. The first relates to technologies, techniques and applications within the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), the second relates to the Smart, Blue and Green Marine Technologies (SBGMT) workshop, while the third relates to the underwater robotics workshop that will be presented within the MASK project .

Logistics and technical support is provided by the Polytechnic Hrvatsko Zagorje Krapina. The underwater robotics workshop within the MASK project was organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb and the Maritime Faculty of the University of Rijeka.

As part of the conference, more than 70 experts from all over the world are working, where about thirty works are exhibited in the form of classic presentations or posters, and seven invited lectures by renowned and world-famous scientists and experts in the field of marine technologies and satellite navigation systems bring a special note to the whole event. .
