Croatian tourist agency and 27 Croatian co-exhibitors continue to present themselves with a rich program on the second day of the fair f.re.e, one of the most important tourist fairs in Germany, which this year is being held until February 26 in Munich. Also, in the morning hours, the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac held a bilateral meeting with the Bavarian Minister of Food, Agriculture and Forestry Michael Kaniber, which was attended by the director of the Croatian Tourist Board together with the ministers Kristjan Staničić, head of the HTZ Branch in Munich Nera Milicic and the Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Munich Vladimir Duvnjak.

"The Croatian-Bavarian commission is one of the longest-lasting institutional forms of cooperation between Croatia and Bavaria. During the last 34th session held last year in Munich, it was agreed to continue cooperation in tourism, including the exchange of experiences in the field of education in tourism, special forms of tourism and destination management. This is exactly what we discussed at today's bilateral meetings, as well as all the strategic activities that we undertake in Croatia with the aim of developing sustainable, innovative and resilient tourism.", said the minister Grinjak.

After the reception of the Croatian tourist delegation and Alkar from Sinj in the Bavarian Parliament, meetings were held with German partners at the Croatian stand at the f.re.e fair. Fti, one of the largest German tour operators, Lust on Croatia, a portal that specializes in promoting the Croatian tourist offer and  IDRiva Tours, a tour operator that specializes in selling Croatia.

"I am proud to present the entire Croatian tourist offer to numerous partners and the German audience, who are showing never-greater interest in vacationing in our country. I would like to remind you that last year we hosted over 3,4 million German guests. A record number of Germans rested throughout our coastal destinations, and I believe that we have made them even more interested in visiting our interior, especially in the pre- and post-season. This presentation is extremely important for us, especially if we know that we generate almost 24 percent of the total tourist traffic from the German market. The feedback from our Bavarian partners is optimistic and according to the current indicators, we are expecting an extremely good tourist year", said the director Stanicic, adding that the Croatian tourist offer is being presented at the biggest exhibition space ever with a richer and richer program.

The importance of the Bavarian market is emphasized by i Nera Milicic, head of the HTZ branch in Munich, who pointed out that Bavaria is extremely important for Croatian tourism because it generates almost half of all arrivals of German guests in Croatia.

As a reminder, numerous visitors on the second day of the fair were delighted by musical performances by artists from the Split-Dalmatia County, Licitarko - the mascot of the Zagreb Tourist Board, a presentation of the indigenous Konavle embroidery, a tasting of Pag cheese, a presentation of the rich eno-gastronomic offer of Dalmatia with fritters and other traditional Dalmatian delicacies, and a presentation of various Croatian cheeses and wines was also held with the sommelier provided by her Croatian Chamber of Economy.

"Numerous guests from Bavaria will profit additionally this year because by joining Schengen and the Eurozone, Croatia, and especially Istria and Kvarner, are now even closer, which will surely extend the season and increase the number of guests from this market. HGK already traditionally supports the participation of our exhibitors, and in addition attractive Adriatic and continental destinations, through the informal Wine & Cheese Meetup we will present to our partners a part of the increasingly high-quality Croatian gourmet offer", he concluded Luka Burilović, president of HGK.
