Polish BOLL is the new sponsor of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Croatia

Speedway Grand Prix returns to the Milenium stadium for the third year in a row, which marks the beginning of the new world championship in this sport, which is now in its nineteenth year in Donji Kraljevac.

The biggest motorcycle race in Croatia has a new partner, a Polish manufacturer of oils, lubricants, paints and varnishes specialized in the automotive industry. Polish company Bowll is the new title sponsor of the Boll FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Croatia! 

With a business tradition of more than 30 years, Boll, which was founded in 1993 in Zielena Gora, Poland, is a long-time friend and partner of sports. In addition to investing in the community, youth and society, Boll has been following sports events and individual drivers, especially in speedway, for many years.  

 "We are proud that Boll has decided to be the main title sponsor of the biggest motorcycle race in Croatia. The Boll FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Croatia race is the first race for the world champion, and the season starts right here in Međimurje, at Milenium Stadium in Donji Kraljevac" she said Daria Pavlic, race director and member of the FIM commission.

"The season for Boll drivers has already started here in Međimurje at the beginning of March, when as many as four SGP drivers arrived at their camp, together with several top young and promising juniors, as well as an excellent marketing and TV team" added Pavlic.

Australian James Doyle, Dane Mikkel Michelson, Czech Jan Kvech and Slovakian Martin Vaculik then arrived in Međimurje:

"Boll has been a great friend of the sport for years and has once again chosen great drivers to be in their team. All four have been at the very top of the speedway for years; In 2023, Lindgren was in the final here, in 2022, Mikkelsen took third place, while last season Martin Vaculik was third in the world. They spent three days with us, trained with young drivers and promised to treat the spectators to a great spectacle when the Boll FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Croatia starts on April 27!Pavlic states.

In addition to the title sponsor,  the other part of the competition, from infrastructure to organization, is done by companies from Poland that it hires Discovery Sports Events. The organizer of the race, Speedway Club Milenium, has a great burden and responsibility.

About 300 people are needed to hold the race: the sports staff make sure that the sports part is done well: from the pits for the drivers,  lap referees, referees at the start, security guards, technical inspection team, leveling and maintenance of the track, to works on the infrastructure of the stadium, firefighters, emergency services and sales.  

"We use over 500 KW of electricity for lighting, LED screens, aerial fencing, and television transmission. We installed over 400 meters of optical cable, through which the race is broadcast in 56 countries on the Discovery and Warner Bros. channels, which was watched by over 10 million viewers last year..“ he says Zvonimir Pavlic, who is responsible for the technical details around the stadium. 

The all-day program at the Milenium Stadium is designed for the whole family, especially the youngest members, who can expect a fun "Fan Zone" where the drivers will sign autographs and take photos with the fans, there will be face painting, inflatables, a motorcycle exhibition, games and quizzes, and a Monster energy zone with DJ.

This year, the children will be entertained by the SGP mascot "Speedy", and the new thing is that the official training starts at 14 p.m., which is also the qualification for the race. The fastest drivers in qualifying practice are the first to choose the starting numbers with which they compete in the race. 

A sold out stadium is expected with 7000 spectators, for which at the end of the race, a magnificent fireworks display was prepared to celebrate the three best drivers.
