Baška Outdoor Festival - a weekend in which one million commercial nights were exceeded in 2023

It ended with excellent tourist results ninth edition Baska Outdoor Festival, a manifestation that has won over many outdoor adventure lovers for years.

Although the manifestation was deprived of the Sunday program due to unfavorable weather conditions, Saturday was therefore "bursting at the seams" with a rich program and great energy of visitors from various parts of Croatia, but also guests from Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary and, to a lesser extent, part of other countries, who arrived this year in the largest number so far!

Krk 'n' Roll MTB Marathon, Krk 'n' Trail race, Rocky Hill Hike Tour hiking trip, Touch the Sky sport climbing and Zip and Fly adventure on Zipline Edison - were accompanied by ideal weather conditions, valuable prizes and great energy of more than 2.000 participants from as many as 14 countries.

Given the high late-summer temperatures, the vast majority of participants, from the youngest to the oldest, took the opportunity to swim in the still warm sea, and all this together resulted in a great atmosphere in which the sports results remained less important, either it is important to participate because Baška was the center of all events last weekend.

Krk'n'Roll MTB Marathon

Saturday began with the start of the now legendary bicycle race, Krk'n'Roll MTB Marathon, which, in its record seventh edition, was attended by more than 600 competitors from 12 countries, and more than half of them arrived outside Croatia. At the start were several current and former national champions and winners of major world races who did not want to miss the opportunity to experience the best MTB experience, which is another confirmation that Krk 'n' roll is one of the largest and most attractive MTB events in the region. He is responsible for the organization of this cycling spectacle Adria Bike, a well-established team that creates top cycling experiences throughout Croatia.

For this occasion, they have prepared 3 attractive rock'n'roll tracks for everyone's affinities - The Beach Boys (26 kilometers), The Rolling Stones (46 kilometers) and, for the most daring, The Queen (70 kilometers). The combination of a diverse landscape, which leads from a two-kilometer long pebble beach to old pine forests and bare stone resembling the surface of the moon, and a view of the blue sea of ​​Bašća bay guaranteed a unique ride and a great atmosphere.

Krk'n'Trail

In addition to the cycling race, the largest race for the participants took place on Saturday - attractive and technically challenging Krk'n'Trail in organization Trekking league! This was the 13th edition of the race, which dates back to 2011, and is also officially the first trail race in Croatia, of which there are more than 200 a year today. Year after year, this attractive race, in which families with children and top athletes and even four-legged pets take part, gathers an increasing number of participants, serious runners and recreationists, since Baška provides everyone with an unforgettable trail experience.

This year, the challenging karst slopes of Bašća were visited more than 1000 competitors from 14 countries, divided into three length/weight categories: Light of 7 kilometers, Active of 14 kilometers and Challenger of 24 kilometers. This unique event once again proved that sports can be a great way to explore natural attractions and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Rocky Hill Hike, Zip & Fly and Touch the Sky

In addition to the competitive part of the program, a large number of visitors also participated in non-competitive activities. More than 70 mountaineers gathered at Rocky Hill Hike hiking tour, under the expert guidance of the agency Travel Outdoor promotion. With the intention of providing the participants with a complete experience and a unique experience, the hiking trip led all the way to the top of Veliki Hlam (482 meters), from where there are unforgettable views of the beauty of the karst landscape, the nearby islands and the Velebit massif.

This year's accompanying program of the Baška Outdoor Festival started on the first day of the festival, lecture "Tu". The sports spirit of the numerous audience that gathered was warmed by the incredible story Daniel Krstulović Opara, who shared his experience about the biggest "outdoor" adventure ever realized in Croatia, which he used to write the history of Croatian mountaineering.

An additional program was organized for the youngest sports enthusiasts, who showed great potential and real children's enthusiasm at the workshops of slacklining and sport climbing on an artificial rock, organized Anima Adventures, and mountain biking school, in the organization BBK Team Rodeo! Various training grounds gave children, and some parents, the opportunity to learn skills, gain self-confidence and master the first steps that introduced them to this adventurous world.

Both days of the festival were marked by an energetic and attractive entertainment program! In the Bistro Funtana of the Corinthia Baška hotel, Sunny warmed up the competitive atmosphere during the morning DJ Alex Sabatini, while he was tirelessly responsible for the great atmosphere at the Porto Beach Club on Friday and Saturday Infinity Band, which kept the BOF participants very active from the afternoon until the early morning, at the traditional and now legendary after race party. The attractive performance of DJ Joe2Shine additionally warmed up the already great atmosphere, making all the visitors of Porto Club Baška dance.
