Croatia Airlines enabled its employees to activate the Certila mobile application, which is a prerequisite for its creation digital travel credentials (DTC).
The DTC project in the national airline was presented by the employees of the Agency for Commercial Activities (AKD), who also provided support and assistance in creating a mobile identity certificate for Croatia Airlines employees. Thus, more than 100 employees of Croatia Airlines recognized this value and will be able to use their digital travel credentials on their next trips.
By activating Certilia, employees are enabled to add their digital travel credentials, which can be derived from a passport or electronic identity card.
DTC, i.e. the digital version of the physical passport, enables citizens to announce their trip to the Croatian border control from Croatia to destinations outside the Schengen area or when entering the Republic of Croatia from third countries. This significantly facilitates the control process at the border, which leads to reduced crowds and faster crossing of the border.

It is a one-year pilot project between Croatia and Finland, and the experience gained and results obtained from this project will be used for impact assessment by the European Commission, related to the use of digital travel credentials throughout the European Union. The Digital Travel Credential (DTC) was developed based on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) specification.
The DTC project, in addition to contributing to the digital transformation of Croatia and the European Union, improves passenger safety by using the latest technologies, while raising the travel experience to an even higher level.
