As recently announced, The Croatian National Tourist Board has announced Competition for the selection and appointment of directors of representative offices (m / f) abroad na six markets, and among which are the market Austria based in Vienna, Czech Republic based in Prague, Hungary based in Budapest, Slovenian based in Ljubljana, Sweden based in Stockholm and Kine based in Shanghai.

Some offices are also in charge of other markets, so for example the office is in Vienna responsible for the Swiss market (with the exception of the canton of Ticino), office in Prague is responsible for the Slovak market, while the office in Stockholm is also responsible for the markets of Denmark, Norway, Finland and Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

"Representative offices have a very important role in promoting our country as a tourist destination, and are also crucial for maintaining contacts with the most important foreign partners. In the circumstances of the pandemic, which unfortunately is still present, and now in the circumstances of unfortunate events in Ukraine, their role becomes even more significant. Despite many challenges, our goal this year remains the same, and that is to position Croatia as a safe, quality and well-prepared destination. ", said the director of the CNTB Kristjan Staničić adding that new directors will be elected for a term of office from four years.

Some of the conditions for applying to the competition are at least four years of work experience in management or tourism marketing, or at least six years of work experience in management, knowledge of one and knowledge of another foreign language or language of the tourism market for which the agency is responsible. , knowledge of the tourist market for which the representative office is responsible, and when applying, candidates must submit a proposal for a four-year activity plan of the representative office.

"We expect that quality professionals will apply for the competition with creative and interesting proposals for the work program. We believe that the number of applications will be large because greater competition means choosing the most professional and competent person, which we certainly wish for. On this occasion, we invite all interested candidates to apply for the competition and with their knowledge, experience, skills and contacts to make a strong contribution to the team of the Croatian National Tourist Board and the promotion of Croatia around the world." concluded Staničić. 

The Tourist Board of the CNTB, which will make the final decision on the selection and appointment of the director, has formed a tender for the implementation of the tender. Committee for evaluation of received candidacies, which will evaluate the received applications and conduct interviews with selected candidates after the deadline for applications. 

Applications for the competition, which was published on CNTB website, are accepted until April 5, 2022
