Iva Bencun was unanimously elected as the director of the Zadar Tourist Board

At today's session of the Tourism Council of the City of Zadar for the director Tourist boards of the city of Zadar Mrs. was elected by unanimous decision Iva Bencun for a mandate period of four years.

During the presentation of the candidates, the relevant benchmark and criterion for the selection and appointment of the director of the tourist board, of course in addition to the formal conditions, was the presentation of the four-year work program and the interview of the members of the Tourist Board with the candidates. Iva Bencun, based on her many years of work and activity in a tourist agency, emphasized the need to strengthen the agency segment for organized groups of guests in the pre- and post-season.

Bencun stood out for its knowledge of local culture and features, with an emphasis on engagement and cooperation with local stakeholders as a key strategy for successful management of both the potential of the destination and the Tourist Board, respecting synergistic action with the public and private sectors alike. She presented a clear vision, new ideas for the valorization of new locations and the need to improve existing ones, as well as introduce new tourist products and innovative ideas with the aim of stronger destination competitiveness within the framework of sustainable development.

Furthermore, the new director of the TZ of the city of Zadar actively uses four foreign languages ​​and, as part of the presentation of the program, she demonstrated enviable communication skills, which are a prerequisite for effective cooperation with partners and representation at the local, national and international level. In addition to agency business, understanding of market segments, distribution channels, guest market and marketing tools for destination promotion, he has commendable experience in organizing events. She is in charge of several projects that have been successfully organized and established and are one of the reasons for coming to our destination, and she is engaged in some of the projects and events in other destinations.

What is crucial is that Bencun comes from the private sector, who knows tourism, the market and the terrain very well, as well as tourism trends.
