The Croatian Camping Association has sent a request and appeal to the competent authorities and the public to respect and, if necessary, further adjust the measures related to ensuring a good epidemiological situation, especially the measures related to mass gatherings. In their appeal, they emphasize the need to strengthen testing and control and the application of sanctions for violations of measures.
At the Executive Board of the Croatian Camping Association (KUH), representatives of the camping sector and board members agreed that the results of the season are very good so far, as there is a 65 percent increase in overnight stays in camps compared to 2020, while in compared to the same period in the reference year 2019, 70 percent of overnight stays have been realized so far. Also, they assessed that the announcements for the rest of the season are currently extremely promising, and if the season continues without worsening the epidemiological situation and additional problems, there is a possibility of achieving an excellent final result.
However, instructed by the negative experience of 2020, when the season was abruptly interrupted in mid-August, the Executive Board sent a request and appeal to the competent authorities and the public to respect and, if necessary, further adjust measures to ensure a good epidemiological situation. refer to mass gatherings. “It is necessary to strengthen testing and controls, and in practice to apply sanctions for violations of measures. ” emphasize from KUH.
In this regard, the Executive Board of KUH welcomes the additional measures announced by the National Headquarters, both for travelers coming from some third countries, and those related to large or mass gatherings where it is not possible to have the necessary epidemiological control.
They warned that another bad season would be a real disaster for Croatian tourism, and given the currently good announcements and the state of reservations for the main season and postseason, they believe that it would be a great pity to compromise their outcome through our own fault.
