For the second year in a row, the Tourist Board of Požega-Slavonia County has been conducting a series of educational activities for restaurateurs, winemakers and owners of tasting rooms through the "Golden Slavonija Eno&Gastro" project in collaboration with chef Branko Ognjenović and sommelier Darko Lugarić.
In the week from October 9 to 13, chef Ognjenović held two-day business consultations within this project in the restaurants Zlatni Lug and Schön blick. During these consultations, he worked with restaurant owners and staff to improve their offerings and create new dishes, including dishes adapted to people with special dietary needs.
Sommelier Darko Lugarić held two trainings/workshops for winemakers and owners of tasting rooms in the premises of Kutjeva dd. At the first workshop on the topic Sparkling wines of the region in correlation with other sparkling wines of Croatia a comparison of the stylistics of the sparkling wines of Slavonia with the relevant sparkling wines of Plešivica, Istria, Kvarner and Dalmatia was made. The conclusion of the workshop is that although Slavonia is known mainly for the production of white and increasingly red wines, the offer of sparkling wines does not lag behind other regions.
