The Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced Public invitation to schools for the promotion and strengthening of the competences of professional and artistic occupations for tourism in 2022
The aim of the invitation is to strengthen the competences of students of secondary vocational and art schools and to develop awareness of the possibilities of career development in tourism.
The funds are intended for projects that offer a contribution to:
- connecting the education system and employers in tourism
- improving accessibility for tourists with disabilities
- mitigating the impact of tourism on the climate and the environment and vice versa (mitigation - reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through measures such as energy efficiency, electro-mobility, etc. and adaptation to climate change - use of green infrastructure solutions, digital solutions for early warning of heat waves and extreme weather events, waste reduction, and similar.)
The total planned value of the Public Call amounts to 1.000.000,00 kn. The amount of requested and approved funds can be the maximum up to HRK 25.000,00 if the project is reported by 1 school do 50.000,00 kn if the project is applied in the partnership of 2 or more schools.
The commission will choose from the received projects for the development of which grants have been approved three best projects. Representatives of school project teams of selected projects they will be rewarded with participation in a study visit to a tourism company chosen by the Ministry.
