PLACE2GO - tourism fair arrives in January with numerous novelties

The international tourism fair PLACE2GO, in its new, eleventh edition, brings a series of novelties, among which is an earlier date. Instead of March, the new edition will take place from January 18 to 20, 2024. in Arena Zagreb.

As before, the fair will include B2B and B2C segments, with a slightly greater emphasis on business, which is why this year's PLACE2GO will be held from Thursday to Saturday. In addition to the new date, exhibitors from China, Sri Lanka, Spain and Lithuania are coming to Zagreb for the first time, while Tunisia and India are returning. Among the exhibitors are well-known destinations such as Austria, the Netherlands and Italy, but also neighboring countries - Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, as well as a large number of Croatian exhibitors.

"PLACE2GO is not just a trade fair, but a real journey into the world of incredible destinations, innovations and business opportunities. This time, we are placing special emphasis on the business community, providing those interested with a unique opportunity to expand their business horizons. PLACE2GO is becoming the epicenter of business innovation in tourism.", she stated Damjana Domanovac, director of the PLACE2GO fair, which is visited by about 15.000 visitors every year, and about 1500 business meetings are held at the fair.

In the new edition, the B2B segment of the program includes expert lectures and panels. On the first day, the panel will discuss: apartmanization, employment in tourism, attracting increasingly demanding guests, readiness for luxury tourism and the sustainable future of Croatian tourism. On the second day of the PLACE2GO fair, attractive topics such as: travel with pets, LGBTQ+ tourism, travel for people with some physical handicap, and weekend and motorcycle trips, which will be discussed by television presenter Aleksandar Stanković, among others.

The third day is open to the general public. He will share his travel experiences Traveloholics, Sarah & Darjan, Jurica Galić Juka and others, and will open topics about Montenegro, Raja Ampat and the country of cannibals - Papua New Guinea.

It will be held for the first time as part of the fair Travel Market with the participation of the largest Croatian travel agencies Globtour Event, Mondo travel, Palma travel and Obzor travel, where visitors will be able to pay for their next trip with special discounts. Also, seventeen Croatian national parks and nature parks will be presented together at a unique stand, while Croatia Airlines will promote air travel to Croatian destinations at affordable prices.

Entry to the fair is free for all visitors, and business visitors will need to register via the PLACE2GO application, which can already be downloaded from stores, due to the possibility of arranging meetings.

The PLACE2GO international fair has been held for eleven years. So far, 720 exhibitors from 39 participating countries have participated in the fair, representing various sectors of tourism, from travel agencies, tourist boards, rent-a-car companies, cruise companies, hotels, motels, camps, to amusement and adrenaline parks and charter companies. The fair continues to contribute to the growth of the tourism industry and strengthen Croatia's position as a desirable tourist destination.
