The Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb is participating this week at Virtuoso Travel Week (VTW), the most important tourist event in the United States of America, which takes place from August 13 to 19 in Las Vegas.
VTW is an annual conference Virtuosa - the world's leading association for luxury travel. This is its 34th edition, and 5.000 top professionals for luxury and so-called leisure trips and experts from the tourism industry - from hoteliers, tour operators, travel agencies, tourist boards, DMC to cruise companies.

On this occasion, Martina Bienenfeld, director of TZGZ stated that membership and marketing activities with Virtuos are one of the priorities for the promotion of the Zagreb Tourist Board on the American market. "It represents a key far-flung emitting market for Zagreb, which is best demonstrated by the results so far. In addition, throughout VTW, a strong emphasis was placed on sustainable and green ways of traveling, which was brilliantly followed up by our Green BUZZG campaign, about which the news was conveyed by UNWTO. Particularly cheerful projections by the executive director of Virutos, Mr. Matthew D. Upchurch, who predicts a complete recovery of tourism in 2023 and a continuous growth of demand in the luxury segment. I remind you, guests from the USA are the first in terms of overnight stays in Zagreb, and such the news, along with the results so far, really inspire optimism."
Campaign Green BUZZG is directed towards the so-called slow travel trend in the travel industry, the main goal of which is to experience the destination through local stories, interaction with nature, a sustainable and relaxed way of traveling.
