It was held today 18th session of the Tourist Council of the Croatian Tourist Board, where council members adopted, among other things Annual work program of HTZ for 2023, as well as the following HTZ operational plan.

These are documents that list planned activities for the next year, which will be aimed at further positioning Croatia in the top of the most desirable European destinations. and in the USA, while campaigns are being planned to maintain the visibility and presence of Croatia in distant markets. 

"We are nearing the end of 2022, in which, according to current indicators, we achieved 96 percent of the results in overnight stays from the record year 2019, that is, during which we almost returned to the traffic levels from the pre-pandemic period. We expect that next year will be the year in which our country will confirm the rapid and strong recovery of the Croatian tourism sector. In order to achieve the above, we will carry out a series of promotional activities with the aim of positioning Croatia as a sustainable and high-quality destination of high value, i.e. with the aim of further increasing the demand for Croatian destinations throughout the year.He said Director Staničić.

In addition to the above, the members of the Tourist Board also adopted The decision on the call for proposals for the selection of strategic partners for 2023 where it is planned to continue marketing cooperation with strategic partners, that is, tour operators and carriers who are planning organized travel programs for Croatia in the next year.

This type of cooperation between HTZ and strategic partners implies the implementation of joint promotional campaigns on foreign markets with the involvement of the system of tourist boards in accordance with their interests and capabilities. 

"The year that is coming to an end was extremely successful, and we returned to the results from the pre-pandemic period, and  by some indicators we even exceeded them. In preparation for next year, today at the meeting we adopted the Annual Work Program and the Operational Work Plan of HTZ and made important decisions for announcing key public calls that will determine the direction of our marketing and promotional activities in 2023. I am extremely pleased that, in accordance with our goal of developing special forms of tourism, next year we will focus even more on gastronomy and continue supporting projects for the development of cultural, health, nautical, business and sports tourism. Our strategic goal in the next period is to position Croatia as a sustainable and year-round destination. At the end of this week, the annual meeting of ADAC, a German car club with more than 20 million members, will be held in Zagreb, where we will additionally present the year-round tourist offer to our most important broadcast market. Minister Brnjac said. 

At the session, the decisions on tendering were also adopted Public call for the selection of a media agency for the creation of an advertising strategy and media plan and the implementation of marketing activities, respectively Public call for the selection of a PR agency for the development and implementation of a strategy and the implementation of international PR activities.

Public calls for agencies will be published in the coming days on the HTZ website, and will refer to activities on foreign markets in 2023 and 2024, with the possibility of extending cooperation to 2025. 

Let us add that the members of the council adopted i Decision on the approval of funds for the hosting of the ADAC annual meeting, a German car club with more than 20 million members. It's about ADAC Jahrestagung 2022., one of the most important gatherings in the German tourism industry, in which, in addition to the ADAC Board, 200 agents and directors from 18 regional ADAC clubs from all over Germany participate.

The meeting will be held in Zagreb from November 18 to 21, 2022 in the organization Croatian National Tourist Board and with support Zagreb Tourist Board, while the program of the meeting will include representatives of regional tourist boards, i.e. clusters, in order to have the opportunity to exchange information with the leaders of ADAC and representatives of the largest German tour operators.
