It was held yesterday online 6st session of the Tourist Board of the Croatian National Tourist Board at which the members of the council, among other things, adopted decisions on marketing and PR cooperation with Croatian Water Polo Association te Croatian Basketball Association until 2024, while cooperation with Croatian Olympic Committee refers to the period up to 2025.

The cooperation of the Croatian Tourist Board with national sports federations includes the promotion of tourism through marketing and PR activities, ie by highlighting the logo of Croatian tourism on sports equipment, as well as by publishing materials on all other communication channels and accompanying official events. 

"Croatia recognizes the importance of sports in all segments and with all the activities funded by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports through umbrella sports associations and national sports federations, this is another additional support to the sports system. Sport has multiple values ​​and many positive effects, and every investment in this area returns through the health of citizens, but also the extraordinary success of our athletes, thanks to whom we are among the most successful countries in the world and who contribute to high visibility and recognition of Croatia. . Therefore, cooperation with national sports federations is extremely important to us and I am glad that we continue it in this way as well. ", said the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac

 "Croatian athletes are one of the best promoters of our country in the world, and numerous sporting events and competitions are the motive for the arrival of many tourists in our country, but also an excellent opportunity to further highlight Croatia in the international arena. Considering that our country is recognized in the world as a quality tourist destination, with additional promotion through sports we are building increased visibility of our country in a global context. ", concluded the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, recalling that numerous Croatian athletes also participate in CNTB promotional campaigns.

Council members accepted De minimis aid scheme for the Development of the Tourism Sector in 2022, which regulates the conditions, criteria and manner of granting aid to co-finance the costs envisaged Public call for the award of small value grants intended for the development of destination management company programs in 2022.

This public call will be published on the website of the Croatian National Tourist Board no later than March 15, 2022, and the total planned financial resources for grants are 1,6 million kuna.
