Tourist post-season in plus, 13% more arrivals in November

During 11 months, almost 107 million overnight stays were realized

According to the first system data eVisitor, which contains tourist traffic realized in commercial and non-commercial facilities and nautical charter (eCrew system), in Croatia is in November accomplished more than 375 thousand arrivals i 941 thousand overnight stays, which compared to the same month last year represents a growth of 13% in arrivals i 1% in overnight stays.  

"The Croatian tourism sector successfully maintained the trend of traffic growth during November as well, and we entered the last month of the year in a very positive atmosphere. Attractive and interesting Advent programs are underway in our country, so during December we expect increased tourist traffic and numerous domestic and foreign guests , especially those of the markets closest to us, such as Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Germany, etc. Our goal is to further strengthen Croatia's tourism result during December, both in terms of tourist traffic and in terms of income, which will be a record, he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board, adding that a promotional campaign to encourage bookings and new reservations for 2024 has just started on broadcast markets.

Seen by counties, during November is the most overnight stays in Wife (150.000), in the Kvarner (148.000) and Split-Dalmatia County (129.000), while, in terms of destinations, the most overnight stays in November were realized in Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Split, Opatija te Zadar.

Considering the wonderful holiday events throughout Croatia, I am sure that we will end this year extremely successfully. In parallel with the successful with the completion of this tourist year, a number of preparatory activities for the next one have already been realized, from participation in fairs to presentations on a number of markets, and I believe that we will enter 2024 with an even stronger positive trend in the development of our tourism throughout the year.", she pointed out Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports.

U November the most overnight stays were made by guests from the market Croatia (314.000) Slovenian (87.000) Germany (64.000) Austria (63.000) and BiH (56.000), and when we look at the type of accommodation in November, the most overnight stays were in hotels (532.000) and in household facilities (190.000).

Cumulatively, 9% more arrivals and 3% more overnight stays were achieved

According to the data of the eVisitor system, from January to the end of November in Croatia, a total of 20.2 million arrivals i 106.8 million overnight stays, which compared to last year represents a growth of 9% in arrivals i 3% in overnight stays, while compared to 2019, the above represents an equalization of the results.

At the same time, in the cumulative u Adriatic counties accomplished 17.8 million arrivals i 102 million overnight stays, which compared to last year represents an increase of 8% in arrivals and 2% in overnight stays, u Zagreb has been achieved 1.2 million arrivals (+21% compared to last year) i 2.3 million overnight stays (+13% compared to last year), while at the rest of the continent accomplished 1.2 million arrivals (+15% compared to last year) i 2.5 million overnight stays (+13% compared to last year).

The most cumulative overnight stays were made by guests from the markets of Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.
