The 45th session of the World Heritage Committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has ended. This year, the Committee entered 42 new sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List and approved the expansion of five of them. Of the 42 localities, 33 are cultural monuments and 9 natural monuments.
