As part of the "Zagreb Digital Nomad Week", organized by the Zagreb Tourist Board, Zagreb County Tourist Board presented, thanks to the exceptional cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, digital nomads a part of Zagreb County. Digital nomads have met the part of the green ring that surrounds our metropolis, because tourism knows no borders.
Digital detox through the walk of digital nomads through Samobor and the Nature Park "Žumberak - Samoborsko gorje" was a complete success. It was especially interesting on the property of Davorin Štetner, who introduced digital nomads to new projects that will contribute to the revitalization of Žumberak. An incredible story from Tihočaj, for which we unfortunately have to point out that today there is only one elderly woman, a nice ninety-five-year-old who interested everyone with her life approach.
According to the director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board Ivana Alilović the plan is to create coworking spaces, which are proving extremely important for the communities of digital nomads in the world. But private investments like this one by Davorin Šteter create new stories and give the opportunity to develop destinations, and the example is Žumberak protected nature park which has exceptional potential.
"Sustainable travel has been talked about for years, and today we are witnessing how every other traveler has decided to travel more sustainably. Digital nomads are certainly the future, not only at the level of the Republic of Croatia but also of our Zagreb County. Of course, it is important to emphasize our sign of a safe, green and sustainable destination that primarily works to achieve its strategic advantage. The goal is sustainable tourism and we are developing and implementing this story through all our previous and future projects. The future is a way of life through digital stories, including creating better living conditions for digital nomads, their contact with the local community, avoiding large crowds, but also using the services of local people to benefit the local community after their visit. Through sustainable tourism and security, we want to be available to the digital generation, which is already our present today, but also a secure future. ”, pointed out Ivana Alilović.
Through the campaign "Vacation never closer", the Zagreb County has significantly raised interest in its contents in this most difficult time for tourism, communicating diversity only half an hour from Zagreb. When we add to this the “Around Zagreb” campaign, where the tourist facilities of Zagreb and Zagreb County are combined into one tourist product, the excellent results of these tourist boards are shown.
