Wandering coordinates: the first book of the famous tourist guide Ivan Vuković is presented

The first book of the famous Dubrovnik tourist guide Ivan Vuković entitled "Roaming coordinates” was presented on Wednesday evening on the terrace of the Prosecco bar Fratellos.

In front of about two hundred people, Vuković spoke about the book in which he presents texts written during the last years twenty years of travel.

On 150 pages, there are selected memories, life stories, various incidents from all over the world, in the form of interesting travel sketches. In addition to the texts, the book also contains photographs. Vuković, who normally traveled even 128 countries of the world, revealed that he finalized the book during his recent stay in Thailand.

The promoter of the book, Ivana Grkeš, stated that Ivan Vuković's work is interesting, touching, very personal and intimate, and in fact, on the other hand, "total banter" runs through the book. 

"In a way, this is a travelogue, but I would say that this is a tribute to travel as such. Because, obviously, traveling is a way of life for Ivan, and not just something he does in his free time when he is not in Dubrovnik. A phenomenal work awaits you", Grkeš stated.

The author of the book pointed out that the book is dedicated to his family and friends. 

"It contains various anecdotes from various trips, mostly from Africa, where I spent many years. Africa enchanted me and I always return to it. I have collected all the anecdotes over the last twenty years. You can't write a travel book just from the top of your head with a little travelVuković said.

The foreword of the book was written by the Croatian writer Hrvoje Šalković, in which, among other things, he points out that Vuković, without any pathos, introduced us to warm family relationships and opened up a map of the world, and also states "The wolf shines, this book shines and will shine for a long time with Croatian travel writing", states Šalković.

By the way, the book "Coordinates of Wandering" is free, and on its last pages there is a bar code of the humanitarian association "Tata je tata" through which donations can be made.
