Digital nomads from all over the world move to Dubrovnik for a month
After Dubrovnik hosted the first conference for digital nomads in October last year, a new project was launched. Namely, in cooperation with the City of Dubrovnik, the Tourist Board of the City of Dubrovnik, and Saltwater Nomads and Total Croatia News, it began a competition aimed at digital nomads all over the world.
The winners of the competition, ten of them, will participate in the program “The Dubrovnik digital nomad-in-residence”, and as part of the program will implement a month in Dubrovnik and participate in the conference. During this period, they will attend workshops aimed at creating a strategic and sustainable direction in which the City should move and adapt to COVID-19 challenges. In addition, the activities in the program are intended to contribute strengthening the city’s reputation among digital nomads globally.
The lucky ten digital nomads selected by this competition will win accommodation and tourist tours. As part of the conference, they will undergo training for professional development, participate in workshops and present their knowledge on the design of Dubrovnik as a city adapted to digital nomads. Dubrovnik, on the other hand, will win excellent promotion in the global community of digital nomads. Recall, they are recently CNN and Lonely Planet listed Croatia as ideal a destination for digital nomads, thus providing us with a huge free media space and a large global media reach.
"The city of Dubrovnik is again among the first! After organizing the first conference for digital nomads in Croatia with our partners, we are embarking on a completely new concept to show that Dubrovnik is an ideal destination for digital nomads. Today, the world's first competition for digital nomads started, who will live and work in our city for a month, as promoters of the destination.”Said Mato Franković, Mayor of the City of Dubrovnik.
The project will begin on April 23 and end on May 23, 2021. Applications for the competition are open today and run until March 31. The application and more information about the project can be found on the website Saltwater Nomads.
