The third label "Proven quality - Croatia" for vegetables has been recognized

After the successful implementation of the legally prescribed procedure, which includes the expert verification of the Product Specification, the national complaint procedure and the notification procedure at the EU level, the Ministry of Agriculture issued a Decision on the recognition of the label. "Proven quality" for vegetables, which will be a confirmation to the consumer that he buys vegetables of domestic origin and higher quality from controlled production. She submitted her third application for the recognition of the "Proven Quality" label for the vegetable production sector Association of Croatian Vegetable Growers.

The first sector to recognize the advantage of this system is the fruit production sector, and the Application for the recognition of the label "Proven quality" for fruit submitted by the Croatian Fruit Growers' Association. Thus, from October 2021, apples marked with this label can be bought on the market, and other types of fruit marked with this sign will soon be available on the market. Another sector that has also recognized the advantage of this system is the table of eggs for consumption, and the Request for recognition of the label "Proven quality" for table eggs submitted by the Association for Poultry Science, and from February 2022, table eggs marked with this sign can be purchased on the market.

The Ministry of Agriculture has established a national quality system for agricultural and food products - "Proven Quality" to achieve even greater recognition and promotion of domestic agricultural and food products, and the emphasis of the system is on labeling value-added products based on added product quality stemming from various factors. relate to the method of production, quality of raw material or final product, and are based on objective and measurable criteria.  

In order to use the label, the manufacturer must choose a delegated body and submit a request to carry out the procedure of attesting the conformity of the product (vegetables) with the Specification "Proven quality" of vegetables. Confirmation of conformity is carried out on a foundation basis Control plan Proven quality for vegetables that is, documents prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture. The procedure can be initiated by the manufacturer individually or it can be submitted by a group of manufacturers (group certification). After the delegated body determines that the product is manufactured in accordance with the recognized Specification, it issues a Certificate of Conformity and only then can it be marked with the sign "Proven Quality - Croatia".

Participation costs in quality systems manufacturers can finance through Measures 3 of the Rural Development Program.
