The Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency announced today Public call for co-financing of the system for the use of renewable energy sources intended for various legal entities.

The budget of the call is 100 million kuna, and due to the great interest of potential users, the reception of applications will start on April 31 at 12 am instead of the one announced on March 9.

The Fund's call is open to regional and local self-government units, state administration bodies, other budgetary and extra-budgetary users, institutions, cooperatives, companies, craftsmen, family farms, private renters, as well as for independent activities and other legal entities, except associations. Co-owners of apartment buildings can also apply through their managers, as well as religious communities. It is important that the system is installed on a building that was not damaged in the earthquake, and individual users will be able to secure up to 1.4 million kuna by successfully applying for their project, according to the Fund.

40, 60 or 80% of co-financing will be available to users for the purchase and installation of the system at one or more locations, depending on the status of the location where the project is implemented. Eligible co-financing systems are heat pumps, solar heat collectors with an efficiency of at least 70%, wood chip / pellet boilers or pyrolytic boilers with an efficiency of at least 87% and integrated photovoltaic power plants for own consumption. Power plants are co-financed in an isolated (off-grid) or network operation. The efficiency of photovoltaic modules must not be less than 18%, and the justified power (including the associated substructure and DC distribution) is up to 50% higher than the value of the approved connected power in the direction of transmission to the network.

In addition to the installation of the system, users can also obtain funds for the preparation of the main project, which is one of the mandatory documents for all planned measures, regardless of the installed nominal power of the system. For the project, it is possible to get up to 40% of the eligible cost of construction, or up to 70.000 kuna per location, and its retroactive co-financing is possible, if not older than 24.9.2020. Since the beginning of the application of the Technical Regulation on the rational use of energy and thermal protection in buildings. The main project for a photovoltaic power plant in grid operation, in addition to the prescribed components, must also contain the budget of the planned annual production of the power plant with energy balance (production / consumption) and the stated share of electricity delivered to the network. In the case of off-grid power plants, it should be taken into account that the battery should be dimensioned for a capacity of at least 3 rainy days.

In order to apply, interested users should prepare all necessary documentation in time, save it on a portable storage device (eg USB) and send it by registered mail or bring it in person to the Fund's reception office on April 12 at 9 am. Applications will be processed in the order of receipt, until the funds are used.
