The Tourist Board of the Town of Mali Lošinj, in cooperation with its members in the destination, is carrying out a promotional campaign about Lošinj this year in the area of ​​four emitting countries; Austria, Germany, Italy i Slovenia.

The natural beauty, culture and tradition of Lošinj, as well as countless outdoor opportunities, are the focus of this year's promotion. It is about online advertising (branding format banners and video banners), and the main media channels are online media, i.e. top portals in the markets, as well as social media.

In Germany (Baden-Württemberg and Bayern) under the name: "Summer '23 Coming soon"promotion is held on extremely relevant media on the market; t-online.de i web.de, while in Austria it is promoted to derstandard.at , a segment-oriented medium higher earners

By combination storytelling format, video advertising and advertising on social media tell the story of Lošinj, all the natural and cultural beauties and activities and offers that the island offers, all with the aim of attracting guests.

"Given that the majority of tourist traffic comes from the German and Austrian markets, as well as the Italian and Slovenian markets, it is no coincidence that the campaign focused on these areas. In cooperation with all leading stakeholders in the destination, the campaign will emphasize the natural factors of the island of Lošinj, such as the microclimate, biodiversity , high-quality sea and first-quality air with a large number of sunny days per year, but also an outdoor offer. Relaxation, wellness, well-being and active vacations are a promotion center whose goal is to attract a larger number of potential tourists, but also to present Lošinj as a destination of additional value ." points out Dalibor Cvitković, director of the TZ of the City of Mali Lošinj.

Promotion of losinja on foreign markets

Promotion on the most read German portal t-online.de it is aimed at families and young people, lovers of active holidays and camping, while the promotion is in Austrian derstandard.at aimed at the segment of luxury vacations and focuses on unique hotel accommodation, natural beauty and the destination's food and wine offer.

Also, the video ad format is planned in Germany at web.de portal, and its dynamism attracts the attention of users and conveys the atmosphere and beauty of the destination. The campaign started on May 3 and will last for a month, according to the TZ of Mali Lošinj. 

The biggest Slovenian show for travel and active vacation is Fokusplus, it's about Alpe Adria Travel & Outdoor magazine in which Lošinj is presented by topic; vitality, sport, outdoors, culture and events. Also, on the portal Embrace Croatia, otherwise specialized in the promotion of Croatian tourist offers, published a PR article entitled "Experience Lošinj and live".

In cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Cres, joint promotion of the Cres-Lošinj Islands on the Italian market (Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardia, Veneto) is planned on the portal TgCom2.  The portal will also show the story of Lošinj Turismo Itinerante, a the target group is women and families between the ages of 30 and 50.

Finally, Cvitković points out that the beginning of advertising by topics; outdoor, relax, camps, beaches, tradition, gastronomic offer and family holidays will start in the second half of May 2023.
