With the aim of raising the competitiveness of Croatian tourism through the strengthening of professional associations in tourism and / or catering, the Ministry of Tourism has published a public call intended for professional associations to co-finance projects of professional associations operating in tourism and catering. A total of two million and eight hundred thousand kuna from the program will be available for projects and programs of professional training and development of professional associations in tourism and / or catering that give added value to members and thus affect the competitiveness of human resources and ultimately the tourism product. .

Grants will be awarded for projects that promote the introduction of innovation, destination management, sustainable tourism, a new tourism product and social tourism and other special forms of tourism. Projects can be applied for by professional associations in tourism and / or catering that have a statutory activity in the field of tourism and / or catering. The amount of requested funds can be from fifty thousand kuna to three hundred thousand kuna per project, and the applicant can claim a maximum of 70 percent of the project value.

When selecting projects, compliance with one or more thematic objectives for the use of EU funds in the 2014-2020 financial perspective, compliance with the 5 core objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy and compliance with the 3 types of growth defined by the Europe 2020 strategy will be taken into account. Applicants who employ at least one young unemployed person of appropriate profession and / or volunteer experience in a certain field (up to 30 years) for the preparation and implementation of the program / project, clearly define the work plan of the newly employed person during the program / project implementation. / project employ at least one unemployed person with a disability of appropriate profession and / or volunteer experience in a particular field, clearly define the work plan of a newly employed person with a disability during the implementation of the program / project and who have one or more partners in the implementation of the program / project.
