During 2024, the Split-Dalmatia County is according to data from the eVisitor system visited by 3,8 million guests who spent 18,5 million nights in commercial accommodation. This is a growth of 5% in arrivals and 3% in overnight stays compared to the same period last year.
Taking into account the entire traffic, including non-commercial accommodation and yachting (charter), 4,1 million arrivals and 20,7 million overnight stays were achieved.
In 2024, in Central Dalmatia, the largest number of overnight stays from foreign markets were achieved in commercial accommodation by Poles (2,3 million), Germans (2,2 million), Czechs (1,2 million), tourists from BiH (1,2, 1,2 million) and the United Kingdom (XNUMX million).
The largest number of overnight stays in the first 11 months was achieved in Split (3,1 million), Makarska (1,7 million), Omiš, Baška Voda and Tučepi.
In December, Central Dalmatia was visited in commercial accommodation by 32.000 tourists who spent 87.000 overnight stays, i.e. 7% more arrivals and 6% more overnight stays than in December last year. Domestic tourists, guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Slovenia and Austria achieved the highest number of overnight stays in that month.

A number of important tourist fairs are ahead of us, where we will present the richness of Central Dalmatia's offer, trying to attract an even greater number of visitors from all over the world. We believe that we can provide our guests with the perfect vacation, whether they want to explore cultural sights, relax on beautiful beaches, or enjoy the activities offered by our mountain and coastal areas.", she said Ivana Vladović, director of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board.

The season of tourist fairs is starting, and the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County is ready to present the offer of Central Dalmatia.
Thus, TZ SDŽ will provide stakeholders in the tourism system in United States of America present the offer of Central Dalmatia and present the Dalmatian brunch as part of the participation in Travel & Adventure Show in New York (January 25 and 26) and Chicago (February 01 and 02).
Matka fair in Helsinki, the largest tourist event in Northern Europe, will take place from January 17 to 19, 2025. This prestigious fair gathers almost 900 exhibitors from around 70 countries, and the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County will also present at the fair, which will promote the beauty and peculiarities of the region and inspire visitors to explore the authentic spirit of Dalmatia.
The Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County is also participating this year at the FITUR fair in Madrid, one of the most important tourist fairs in the world, which this year takes place from January 22 to 26.
This global event brings together more than 8.000 exhibitors and experts from the travel industry, offering visitors the opportunity to explore diverse destinations, the latest trends in tourism and innovative services.
Holiday World Show in Dublin, Ireland's largest and most visited public tourism exhibition, will take place from 24th to 26th January 2025.
This fair is known as a rich global market for tourism offers and destinations, with exhibitors from all over the world representing almost every form of travel experience. The TZ of the Split-Dalmatia County will also be presented at the fair, which will bring the beauty and diversity of the region closer to visitors.
We must not forget to mention either Ferien-Messe fair in Vienna which offers a combination of information and entertainment with more than 800 exhibitors from over 70 countries, which takes place from January 16 to 19 and Holiday & Travel Show, the leading travel event organized by The Times and The Sunday Times, which runs from 30 January to 2 February in London.
