Zadar County, with its rich history, natural beauty, cultural heritage and diverse content, will be promoted as UHPA's recommended domestic destination in 2025.
The Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) and the Zadar County Tourist Board have concluded a business cooperation agreement, under which UHPA will promote Zadar County as a recommended domestic destination in all communication and promotional channels, public events and publications during 2025.
The contract was signed at the Zadar County Hall, and the County Prefect Bozidar Longin On that occasion, he pointed out that the project of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies has been successfully contributing to better positioning, recognition and promotion of the destination for several years. "I believe that our county will also benefit from this cooperation. The fact is that tourism is the strongest economic sector in Zadar County and that the numbers of both arrivals and overnight stays are growing year after year. However, it is also a fact that the goal of quality tourism development is not just to increase the number of visitors, but tourism that must be sustainable. Therefore, it is particularly important to focus on raising the quality of the overall tourism product, which includes raising the quality of accommodation, gastronomic offer, and other facilities offered to guests. It is also important to relieve the summer months and expand tourist traffic to the pre- and post-season with the ultimate goal of achieving year-round tourism at a significantly higher level than the current one.
Hrvoje Anić, the director of the Zadar County Tourist Board, expressed great satisfaction with the new cooperation. "The Association of Croatian Travel Agencies has been our extremely important collaborator and partner for years, so we are very pleased that Zadar County has been chosen as UHPA's Destination of the Year. This represents another strong step and an excellent opportunity for additional promotion of our county on domestic and foreign markets. Zadar County is a destination that, with its diverse and preserved nature, rich cultural heritage, and indigenous enological and gastronomic offer, can offer visitors numerous experiences. We are certain that this cooperation between the Zadar County Tourist Board and the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies will contribute to the further recognition of our county as an extremely desirable destination for numerous forms of tourism, including all others, for active, nautical, camping, which we have been promoting for decades, as well as enological, gastronomic and business tourism, which we have been particularly emphasizing in recent years.", he pointed out Hrvoje Anić, director of the Zadar County Tourist Board.
The project "UHPA's domestic destination" has been recommending domestic and foreign destinations for many years with the aim of further strengthening the cooperation of tourist agencies and tourist boards, developing new specific tourist programs and targeted promotion of the destination and increasing tourist consumption.
